Need a ride from D.C. to Lynchburg,VA 8/18 in the pm

Hi All,

If anyone could hook a hog up, I would be grateful. Only ticket I can find for Amtrak to get to college is $375!!!! I arrive this Tuesday (8/18/09) at 4:40pm if all goes well flight-wise. I need to figure out a ride from Washington D.C. Reagan National Airport to Lynchburg, VA. I am willing to cover the gas. If anyone can help me out, it would be a huge blessing. I know this is asking a lot considering it appears to be 3.5 hrs of driving but need to check all my options. Thanks guys and hope to see some East coast hogs in a month or two at a get together.

brother i would take ya if i could. i use to party down there with my friend's that went there. it would be nice to see it again. somebody help this guy out.
 
Normally you could get there for about $75 but that train is sold out.
 
Hmm. I will serve as your emergency back-up.

Normally, I'd be slaving away for Your National Government, but this is a very peculiar week. I'll be "off" Wednesday, presumably trying to prepare my aging body for the expected rigors of Thursday and Friday.

Thus, I might be able to help. I'll e-mail you and we'll see.

Oh. Not sure how early Tuesday I'll be able to get away. Again, we'll see.
 
I just left DC a couple years ago. No joke, I would do it if I was still there. We could smoke butts and talk knives. Anyway, I'm proud of you for finally making it to the mainland and fulfilling your dream of college.

I'm sure someone who is in the area will help you out.

Eh. Don't worry about it. This will be cheaper.

And there's a solid 50% chance you'll survive the ride!:D

Actually, the most dangerous part is picking you up at Reagan National. That's a craaazzyyy place.

Awesome and I'm pretty good at jumping into a moving vehicle. Just pop the trunk and drive by baggage claim :D

Yeah, I don't think AKST vs EST would make for a good maneuver :D People might wonder why that crazy guy is throwing his luggage onto the drive way and jumping into an imaginary car :eek::thumbup::D
