Looking for something similar to a Victorinox Super Tinker + a Saw.

I have an el cheapo "Journeys Edge: Swiss Everything Tool" that is what I'm looking for plus an LED Flashlight, so if they make one with screwdrivers, a saw, and a flashlight; that would be great.

If you add the wood saw to a Super Tinker you have a Fieldmaster. The Fieldmaster imho just might be the perfect sak.

If you must have a saw then the fieldmaster is it, but if you can do without that, I prefer the Deluxe Tinker - more of the tools
that I actually use. Have several SAKS with a saw and have yet to use it for anything.

I use the saw the most. Probably the sawcsnd screwdrivers are the most useful to me but I will look into the tools of the deluxe

If a saw is that important to you, maybe you should look into the Trekker, or OH Trekker. It is in the larger 111mm line, but has a great saw. Both Trekker saws are the same, but the OH hole causes a hump in the blade spine that could be a nuisance for sustained sawing. I can overlook that because I seldom use the saw for long periods of time, but if that's what you do, the plain Trekker is more hand friendly. AFA a flashlight IC, you are better off attaching a micro light to the key ring rather than some kind of built in cheapie.

You could always go up to the Swisschamp, which will give you alot more tools too! They can be found for about $35 so PM or email me if interested in one. I carry one on a P-7 clip in front pocket and it works great. :D

If I may inquire, what do you use the saw for? As I mentioned, I have several models with a saw, but have never found
that I ever used it.

I use the saw often to quickly and cleanly notch wood for a lot "buchcrafty" type things or small projects.

Once I used the saw to trim down a piece of wood that I had cut and baked for rehanldling a broken hammer so that my stick would fit into the hammers head.

@Znapchatz and Sir Mike, I will look into them.

If you decide to go with a 111mm sak check out the Outrider. It has a saw and scissors.

(If I may butt in :)); it depends on what you do in life. I can't say the saw is my most used SAK implement, but mine gets a lot of use while I'm doing yard work, during which I find saplings growing next to structures, fence lines or otherwise places inaccessible to a pruning saw but that I can get to with the OH Trekker. With it I can also notch branches too thick to break otherwise but not worth running back to the garage for a saw, likewise all other sorts of things that come up while that was the only saw at hand. I've used it to cut down dowels, lath and wood braces just a little too big for their application, and for camping purposes when traveling light. It also works on plastics. Love the alox, but when the Swiss adopted this design for their army in 2008, they did the right thing, largely because of the saw.

The Huntsman has a corkscrew, where the Fieldmaster has a phillips screwdriver. Otherwise identical.

I think that right now I am torn between the Hiker and the farmer, pretty much the same tool but the hiker has a standalone Phillips driver.

I've read alot of comments on Alox vs Cellidoor but my mind isn't quite made up one way or the other.

They are a little different in price but $5 dollars shouldn't be a deciding factor

P.S. The Huntsman Lite seems to be the answer to my original post and the perfect tool for me to put in a sheath and strap to the shoulder of my pack but rather large for pocket carry.

Guess my deciding question is:

The slotted part on the can opener, is it meant for #1 or #2 sized Phillips screws?

Ordered a Black Victorinix Camper.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I really like the Farmer too, my guess is I'll end up with both eventually.

I like to make walking sticks as a hobby so I always carry either a Farmer or a Camper when I'm out woods walking.
