Need a small motor - drill sized

Looking to pick up as inexpensive as possible a small motor that I can mount and use to turn a spindle (for a project I'm making for my son, of which I'll post pics in the future)

I was thinking Radio Shack, but I've always not-liked that store. Would an auto parts store have something close?

I'd planned on just buying the cheapest cordless drill at walmart, and disassembling it, but it would be much nicer to get a mount-able motor.

I used to use RS components in the UK. They sell in the US as Allied Electronics.
