I need a large container for coffee. Needs to be insulated enough so that I can hold it without getting burned (steel and aluminum single wall are out of the question), needs to be 32oz, and I want it WITHOUT threads on the inside of it... I can live with thread outside but inside make it a PITA to clean daily. Here is the catch... It needs to fit in a cup holder. Thaaaaaat's the trick. I can't seem to find what I'm after in a cup holder friendly design. Thanks for any help here.

Biggest I found was 20 ounces, but the threads are on the outside and the website states the bottle fits in most cup holders. Perhaps get two of these?

Those are quite some requirements! Must be a killer cup cup holder if you are going to put 32 oz of hot liquid into a double walled metal container. If there is a cup that meets your requirements, it is going to be heavy, and probably top heavy at that.

I'd also suggest looking at Thermos products. I have a 16 oz thermal tumbler from them that is spill proof and keeps my coffee for many hours. While it does have threads inside, they are large and easy to clean. Get 2 of them and you have your quantity, and won't have to take vitamins just to drink your coffee!

What I wound up doing was just ordering this http://www.thermos.com/products/vacuum-insulated-34-oz-stainless-steel-beverage-bottle.aspx

I carry a Maxpedition Mongo everyday and never use the water bottle pouch. These Thermos units get pretty good reviews. Also saw a guy on youtube fill one with boiling water and it was still 180 degrees about 11 hours later. So they seem to work pretty darn well... and I'll just take a cup with me to pour as I need it. Probably stay hot longer this way anyway. Here is the video of the simple little test on the Thermos... it isn't the exact same one that I got... but it's the same technology.

I use the cap that goes over the pour lid as a cup.
The one you take off and then you can loosen the next cap and pour, works well as a cup.
