Does anybody out there know of any manufacturers that makes synthetic handles for axes and tomahawks?

There's no one who makes a "stock" synthetic handle that I'm aware of. The eye of your hawk would need to be milled and then the handle machined to fit properly. You can contact a local machine shop and see if someone wants to take on a "special project". It won't be cheap but if I might, I'd suggest stock Delrin rod. It's the best! You can sometimes buy scrap Delrin at plastics dealers, Read Plastics in Rockville, Maryland sometimes has leftover pieces if they still deal in Delrin or contact the manufacturer and see if you can get a 2' sample piece and take it to a machinist and see if they'll do it for you.
