I need a very portable sharpener that I can store in a glove box or in a backpack. I won't be sharpening anything with this apart from Swiss Army Knives. I had a look around and I found 3 for a very good price, although I'm not sure which one will work best:

and the Victorinox Sharpener featured in this article:

I must also mention that I suck at sharpening :o so please, if you are going to recommend something else, no freehand :)

Thanks!

You say no freehand yet the first link is to a freehand stone.

Besides a carbide pull through (something I wish was never invented) or a edge pro I can't think of any guided sharpener that would work for those knives.

Gat a DMT Diafold c/f and call it a day (you can freehand, I believe in you ;) )

Oops :foot:

The reason I put those 3 up was because I know for sure that I can find them at a nearby Military-Surplus store for very cheap. After a bit more research, perhaps pullthrough carbide sharpeners (metal cutters as I believe they are called on here) may not be the best choice.

Is the Wenger 1801 any good (Let's pretend that I can freehand :D)?
The Victorinox also has ceramic rods.

I will keep the Diafold in mind though and check if it's available as soon as I can.

The SAK diamond hone is probably just a relabled DMT stone ;)

Too coarse, I'd go with the fine/red.
