With all of the various styles and brands of knives out there, not to mention the cheap knives that come across as superior, I was hoping you folks could offer some advice.
I'm looking for a blackened, fix blade knife with a tanto style tip. A thin profile with has a sheath that could be strapped to the lower leg, one which you wouldn't have to spend ten minutes fiddling with to get the blade out. A skeletal handle for the lighter weight would be nice, though not a requirement. One think I am wanting, however, is quality steel. I don't mind spending in upwards of $100 if not a bit more for a blade that will take and hold a good edge, and a black treatment that won't rub off after a few cuts.
