Its been over twenty years since I bought a folder or flipper knife and since I am returning to the states for my once a decade sojourn I want to order one for my collection. my budget is 150 and not too heavy in the pocket as generally I wear suits and prefer a drop point style , Lock either axis or liner and made in the USA is a must.
Thank you for any suggestions

Shayne .

I'm partial to the spyderco military but a PM2 might suit you better. Pun intended. :D

Pm 2 isnt that a ... no idea what you call it but lock is a type of pressure button on the back of the knife sorta like a buck ? even though I do like the looks of it a lot.

Para 2 is a compression lock and that would be a good choice, they are great. Another good choice is a ZT 0350 is you don't want to spend more than $150.

Buck Vantage Pro
Benchmade 940 or 943
Benchmade 707
Spyderco Native 5 (lockback though)
Kershaw Blur CF154
Kershaw Knockout or Piston
Kershaw Leek G10

I know you mentioned you prefer the drop point style, but i would seriously take a look at the Osborne designed reverse tanto. Either the 940 or the 950 Rift are fabulous knives that combine a large bellied knife and a tip that would out perform most other blade styles.

Not too heavy is kind of vague...... What about blade length? Spyderco makes a huge amount of knives that would be good for suit carry, I would say the air except the blade shape is not what you prefer. I would look at it though anyways. Another spyderco would be the sage.

I dont think " not to heavy is vague as most of us have worn suits and know just how much weight is comfortable in a suit pocket wither it be pants or jacket. 3- to 4 oz i guess would be a comfortable max.
