Hey guys, I’m Tiny, new here and just wanted to introduce myself before I ask a question. Sorry if this is a bad question, I’m not really sure, and I don’t know much about CR knives.

So, I am looking at getting a Large 21 with micarta inlays from a friend of mine. Is $390 a good price? Like I said, I don’t know anything about the prices of Sebenzas.
Also, can a Regular Sebenza blade fit into a 21’s handle?

Thanks!

CRK dealers sell it for $455, so yeah, its not a bad deal. Given it is a new/mint knife. CRK sets the price, so you won`t be able to get one cheaper from an authorized dealer.

I am not sure what used examples go for, but Im sure somebody will chime in.......... .

If you ordered a new Large 21 with Micarta inlays and a S30V blade from CRK it would run you $455 according to the way I read the price sheet. So $390 is not a bad price IMO, but only you can answer if it is a good price for you.

My understanding is that the blades are matched with the back (locking) side of the knife. So you will not be able to swap blades between Sebenza models. I know that you can change the front (non-locking) sides within a model (swap a plain 21 for graphics 21) as these are not matched with other parts of the knifes.

Hope this helps,

$390 for a micarta 21 in good or better condition is a bargain, IMAO. Try to get the box, wrench, and birth certificate with it, of course.

I swap blades on some knives now and then to get something taiilored just for me, but I wouldn't try it with any of my Sebs. As I understand it, the parts for each knife are hand picked and fitted to very tight tolerances. You might get lucky, you might not.

I have both styles of Sebenzas in both sizes, and I haven't found any difference in performance from one blade profile to the other. It seems to be more a matter of personal taste to prefer one over the other.
