Need Advice for New Folder

My primary EDC for the past year or so has been a Spyderco Gunting and a folding karambit (I rotate between the Tarani Masters and the EKI Combat Karambit). I'm thinking about purchasing a new folder to replace my Gunting as a straight blade. While I love the Gunting I am not comfortable having it clipped to my pocket as it rides so high and is very easy to see, and as long as I am going to supplement a karambit with a longer bladed weapon I figure I can also go a little larger than 2.75".

So I've been thinking about an EKI Commander, and while I would love a Strider SnG my budget is only about 150-200. I want a "straight" blade but prefer more of the drop point or recurve shape as opposed to the tanto style. I carry more for "self defense" however there may be times when light cutting would be required. I would also prefer something more discreet looking, or else I probably would go for the Spyderco Ti ATR. I like the EKI wave but I can also inertia open many folders. So my question is, given my price range and desire for sublety, would any of you have suggestions?

I don't have a Gunting for comparison but the Commander also rides with a fair amount of knife sticking out of the pocket. Just somehting for you to keep in mind when you make a decision.

Blade-tech pro-hunter. I know what you are thinking... a hunting knife? It is much more than that. It is made by the same people that make the Tarani Karambit, so you know the quality. This knife is one versatile design. Excellent fit and finish as well.
