Need Advice on Damascus...

Im thinking of getting a traditional pocketknife with damascus blade. Is damascus prone to rust like any blue or non-stainless steel?

Damascus like many of the high carbon steels will rust just looking at them. There is Stainless Damascus but its not impressive as a performer. Devin Thomas makes the best Stainless Damascus. A Sentry cloth and regular maintance will keep it looking good.

Thanks for the info, Bob! Even if you make a Pioneer II in Damascus it will still be in my wish list!
