Need advice on dye job

I bought this knife because I liked the frame and blade selection. But it's been sitting in my knife box since. I've sharpened it, but still didn't bond with the knife. It still sits around. I think it's the wrong color. I thought it would be yellower when I ordered it.

I'd like you guys to help me pick the 'dye attempt' color. I've been thinking all over the board. Bright yellow, sunset orange and blue.

What color would you dye this knife? I'm on the road quite a bit and won't get around to the dye job early November.

Is that even possible? I could see maybe making it a darker color, but wouldn't you have to somehow bleach it or lighten it to make it bright yellow?
I would just have it re-scaled IMO.

I've done a couple dye jobs now. It's a bit like alchemy. I went onto RIT's website to find a color that would combine with the original color of the scales to hopefully yield a color I liked. In my CASE (pun intended) I was trying to get a chestnut color on a stockman that was suppose to be red but was more pink than anything else. Using the lighter cocoa brown dye, I got close enough that you can hardly tell it wasn't factory. Be warned that immersion time makes a big difference and bone doesn't absorb dye uniformly.
