My cyclone broke into 487263 peaces and they discontinued the model i have so they offered me a $100 gift certificate to the kershaw site. Now we all know its a little more expensive on the site so i need some advise on what i should get to replace the cyclone. Keep in mind i hate autos and Combo edge.
thanks

first that is a lot of pieces  ;)

of the kershaws i have i like the JYD 2 CB, and the OD-1. they are really nice

Given that the Kershaw Cyclone is 8.75'' long, maybe .25'' wide, and roughly 1'' tall, each piece was approximately .000004489362 in³. How did you count them?

RAM

It doesn't get as much attention as it should. It is an awesome knife with a great flipper, no play yet super fall open smooth, and a superb lock that is fun to play with. Get it.

+ 100,000,000,000 :D

The RAM is , IMO one of the best values in production knives. It feels like a much more expensive knife ! Great ergonomics , nicely done thin grind , pocket friendly and pretty lightwieght.

R.A.M (flipper, non-assisted) or Packrat (flipper, assisted) if you don't want to add funds.
JYDII CB (flipper, non-assisted) for a little more.

what about the GROOVE ? i love my zing and it looks like a bigger zing. Also looking at Lahar as a choice.

Can I comment that its awesome that Kershaw is giving you a $100 gift certificate cause your knife broke and they can't send you parts. That's customer service.

I have a couple blurs and I think they are awesome - thats about right at that price.

SMKW has the Cyclone in stock and cheap. You can get any number of Kershaws for that gift cert amount. How did the Cylcone break?????

He means MSRP.... Kershaw gave him a credit for the MSRP, so, he can pick a knife and they will send it to him.

I'd go with a Blur, or shallot. If you had time to wait a speedform 2 would be great.

Believe it or not the storm series, despite their fairly low price should not be overlooked. It's a very stout, nice slicing , well made knife. The quality for the price amazes me sometimes.

The Blur, RAM, or JYD/JYD 2 are all really nice and similar size that I owned and quite similar to the Cyclone. The Whirlwind would probably work too. I probably give them a little more money and go with the JYD 2 with composite blade if it was me. A really awesome knife.
