....the stop pin fit in the lanyard hole.

I decided on ordering an extra stop pin for my Large Regular Sebbie to see if I can fill up the lanyard hole on the back of the handle. I don't really need the lanyard, so I usually take it off occasionally. However, after speaking with Mike, he informed me that I might have a problem with the pin fitting flush since the lanyard hole isn't designed for a screw/pin to fit flush in there.

I had noticed these pics from the Gear Outside The Box website and wondered what I can do to modify the hole to allow perfect fit of the stop pin. Any ideas?

I'm sure that someone has some info on how to do this.....

It looks like the lanyard hole isn’t countersunk as deep as the holes meant for a screw. Get yourself a countersink that is the correct angle and size, a hand drill if you have a steady hand, a drill press is better and go slow, removing a bit of material and test fitting the screw until it matches the others. Countersinks are available about 5 different angles and a whole range of sizes, I’m not sure what angle is used on the Sebenza, you could ask the folks at CRK or there used to be a technical drawing used in the brochures that may have the specs listed.

Thanks, Nabok. I might just call up CRK customer service and ask if they can do the work for me....not sure what to do yet. I think that I'll wait until the screws and pins come in to check them out.

I never said that I 'hated' the hole.....

I just think that it would look nice to have another screw and pin to fill it up for those times when I prefer to not use a lanyard, that's all.

I think Nabok has it down. Once the parts are in, test and fit slowly so it gets to the desired position you like it.

Any links to the gear outside the box?
