im gonna be getting either a scrofa or a BAD for 270? my primary use is for light edc and hunting . witch is better in your opinions for my needs?

Welcome aboard Mauserfan... not sure if you have field processed many deer but the scofa's blade shape is absolutely NOT what you want. It won't skin well, due to the lack of belly... or do anything better than a more traditional blade shape with regard to processing deer.
I've done a couple deer with my BAD. It works well. The 3.5" blade is a bit short for my preference. I like a 4-4.5" blade for deer. I've used my meaner street extensively, meaner hack, and most recently CABS. All work great.
As for EDC, the BAD is hard to beat. Be sure and post pics when you get it...
