I'm lookin to buying a hawk from ATC to add to my CS Rifleman's hawk. I want either the Roger's Rangers Spike hawk, the Minuteman (cheeper), or the regular Lagana Vietnam hawk. I have some questions:

-How much does the RR Spike hawk weigh?
-Can the Vietnam Hawk be thown and used without the head coming off?
-Which tomahawk would yall rather have (of the three)?
-How heavy is the Minuteman?

My Rifleman's Hawk is fine but i dont really appreciate the Cold Steel business anymore. From what iI;ve heard, ATC makes the better hawks of the two. (Even though they're priced higher.)

Thanks for the input.

1-RR Spike Hawk weighs approximately 28 oz.
2-The Vietnam Tomahawk with Hickory Handle can be thrown confidently, but the handle will eventually become loose after throwing. When hickory, in the size used for a Vietnam Tomahawk handle, realizes torque, it compresses without re-swelling naturally.
3-I'll let our customers answer this one...
4-...lighter than the RR Spike by 6 oz.

Thanks Andy. I've narrowed it down to the Minuteman or Roger's Rangers. I'm leaning towards the Minuteman because its cheaper and more to my lawn mowing budget. How good does the Minuteman throw?

#3...Both the Roger's Rangers Spike Hawk, or the NEW Lagana Tactical Vietnam Tomahawk (VTAC) are TOTALLY excellent! The Vietnam Tomahawk is somewhat smaller and lighter than the Roger's Rangers 'Hawk, so it is better suited for swinging/combat, where the larger/heavier "Roger's 'Hawk" is excellent for tossing or heavier chopping. Of the two, I like BOTH, but if FORCED to choose one, it would be the NEW VTAC Tomahawk, as it swings quicker, with quicker change of direction or stop swings.

Minuteman is a good performing thrower. It's one turn distance is about 16' compared to the Spike's 14' and the Vietnam's 12'....largely, it's due to the long handle on the Minuteman with the lighter head.

Changing my mind again...Minuteman looks more like it's from the Revolutionary War era, but it's a little light. I'll get a LaGana 'hawk when I'm in Marine Recon (hey I'm only 14 but who says I can't plan my future now?). I'll get a RR Spike 'hawk. I've been reading reviews of it and it sounds like it's a nice piece of work. Well worth the $150 (live a little). Plus it looks plain cool.

Dang, looks like I'll have to mow some more lawns.
