ok, i have the chance to get a spyderco manix for $120 with a trade in of a crkt m16-14zsf and a gerber paraframe. is it worth it? i have to decide by tomorrow. thanks.

If it's a straight Manix, yes that is a decent trade as they are no longer made and collecty. If it is a Manix 2, no that is not a good trade.

it is a manix 2 xl it looks like. although i found out i can get it for $100 on amazon.com. it is normally $170 at the store i went to.

Geesh, you need to go to a different store. I have seen the Manix 2 go for under $100 on the auction sites. Pass on that one. Pick one up here like new in the bst forums and save even more.
