I bought a kwaiken ti for my dad for Xmas and I'm putting thunderstorm kevlar scales on it. The only problem is I have never used this stuff. So far it sands like micarta except for the little brass pieces. Looks like you really gotta smooth the edges. My question is do I use super glue to finish and polish or just raw with wax or light coat of oil.

I love kevlar and love working with it. Sand it with the handle and to about 400 grit at a minimum and no need to finish it, although you can put wd-40 on it to bring out the grain a bit and then wash it off.
I would take some 800-1000 grit and sand any little brass straggler wires.

Then the higher grit you take it darker it gets, the wd40 is a good solution.
