I have a OHO Trekker that I want to remove the saw from, and add a pocket clip. With these mods I think I can comfortably pocket carry it, and the project seems like a good first knife mod. Being the first, I really have no idea where to start. I have a Dremel and a Dremel press. It isn't the best, but I think it'll work. What I don't have is everything else.
I have seen the SB pocket clip, but I'd like to attach the clip to the scale liner. I've seen titanium pocket clips at the knife supply sites that Id like to use.
Please feel free to point out things I'm missing. I'm okay spending some money to make this happen, the project itself is part of the interest.

-what size brass pins do I need for the OHO Trekker? I've heard sizes change between models. Would it be better to switch to barrels and screws (if so which size)?

-what is the ring around the brass pin that the pin is peened into? Size?

-what size drill and tap do I need for a standard folding knife pocket clip torx screw? Is a hand tap going to work for this?

-I really like the idea of pushing the customization to the scales. I have kids though and do not want G10 dust around the garage. Is Micarta just as bad? Is there a safer material besides wood?

-any advice? Things I'm not thinking about? Anything I'm missing?

Thanks all.

Edit: clarity
