Hi. I Bought a pig sticking knife. Its still in transit, delivering to me. Seller said its Japanese spring steel (idk) anyway. Blade is 10" and handle is 4". How should I test it out? Whack? Hammer? Pound? Slap? My concern for every knife I bought is the durability and strength. I am emotional with knife breaking in half. Cause its money there... or perhaps I should test it for its intended use only?

As long as you don't abuse it (hammer, baton, whack/chop, pry, etc.), and use it like a knife, (to cut, slice, and whittle) no knife should break.
Don't imitate those "Forged in Fire" idiots/morons, who are intentionally trying to break whatever blade it is in their "tests" (note quotes)

EDIT

I sure hope the knife you bought is higher quality than that thing in the picture.
Dent/gouge on the pommel, don't look to have been sharpened ...

Off topic, but FWIW, the destructive tests they do on Forged in Fire are close, and in some cases identical, to the ABS Master Smith tests. http://www.americanbladesmith.com/uploads/file/Testing/MS_Test_FINAL_11-04-2019.pdf

That was a dickbag thing to say. You can’t determine quality based on how visually appealing it is.

To the op...I think the best test for a knife is to use it for the task it was designed to perform. There’s no need to pound the snot out of it.

That may well be. :)
On the other hand, how many production knives are made by ABS Master Smiths or to those standards?
My guess is a resounding "none".

Personally, I wouldn't expect any production knife, not even a Buck 119, 124, KaBar, "Marine Fighting Knife" (WW2 issue to recent manufacture) Busse, Vintage Western W49, vintage or new military issue Bayonet, or any other proven on the battlefield knife to withstand the abuse on "Forged in Fire".
I question if a production Froe, regardless of brand, would survive those irrelevant "tests".

"Irrelevant?!?" Yep. When was the last time you (or anyone personally known to you) had to chop through a block of ice or antler, or stab a metal jerry can (or some poor innocent car/truck's hood, fender, door...) ... or ice, for that matter?
In the 65 years I been on this rock, I've never had cause to chop ice or antler/horn with a knife, stab a jerry can, or a vehicle, or ice. I've never known anyone who had to do any of these things, either.
One the one and only occasion I went ice fishing (yeah ... I was young, and apparently much stupider at the time) I used an auger to make the hole in the ice. Not my knife.

Yes, it was.

I'm not familiar with "pig stickers; so I can't say if the knife is functional as such... but the pommel you referenced appears to an extension of the blade, rolled to fit over a pole type handle.

Ever watched Forged in Fire in slow motion when the blades break?

That’s not a knife.

I can’t tell if the socket is forge welded to itself (doesn’t appear to be) or just lapped over.

If I was going to test it I’d mount it to whatever pole you intend to use it on and plunge it into the ground a few times trying to burry it say 4”-6” and plunge it into a tree trunk about half force. If you don’t have any issues you’ll probably be good to go.

Looks like a cross between a Green River sticker and a Cold Steel Bushman. I don’t imagine the sharpness of the edges matters much, as long as the point is sharp enough to penetrate what or whoever you are wanting to stick. All you need is a broom handle* and you got yourself a pig roast.

* and a pig, of course.
