Hope someone here can help me out.... I'm trying to get info for a friend, he makes knives and needs a place to harden or temper, (not sure the correct term) 440C stainless, and he wants it to be 59 or 60 on the Rockwell scale. The place he used to use no longer will do "small" jobs. Thanks in advance

I do small jobs, Texas knifemakers does small jobs and I beleive there are others here as well. Email me if you are interested.

If you can find a maker to do a few at a time that's the way I'd go. If not, then I can recomend non other than Paul Bos. He's a little expensive for just a few blades, but I've had nothing but excellent results from his services.
