I am looking to purchase a fixed blade fighter that has a Makers Mark of K HO4. It has been suggested that it might be Ken Hoy but I cannot find anything about him.

Does anyone know where I can get information on Mr. Hoy and his knives?

I got all excited and thought this thread would be about the booze.

There is very little info about Ken Hoy knives available. I think there was an article in the book Knives 2000 about him.
I checked with someone that had the Knives 2000 book but nothing in there about Mr. Hoy

I understood that MNakers Mark hand-dipped each bottle in melted wax to seal it.

There is usually an ad showing that process each fall during the run-up to Christmas & New Yeares.

It is
I dig fat bottle of Makers Mark from a closet moments ago :^D

KEN HOY was featured in 'The Gun digest book of knives' th edition in about 1997 (pages 113 to 116)
his mark then was ' K
HOY ' on 2 lines

Just found a copy of the Book that you recommended on ebay. The seller posted a picture of the table of contents and there they
listed Ken Hoy. Ordered copy of the book. So grateful that you took to time to provide assistance.

Well, I obtained a copy of the Gun Digest Book of Knives that you mentioned and read the article on Ken Hoy. It was a good piece but no mention on what his various models were selling for. It did mention that he produced about 250 knives a year. I found his last known
address and called only to find out that Mr. Hoy passed away in 2018. Need your thoughts on how best to find out what his knives sold for.
Can't find any that are for sale.
