Need Backpack recommendations for a 17.3" laptop

Can anyone recommend a backpack that will fit and protect a 17.3" laptop? It is for a friend who cycles to college everyday. I would prefer something with padded shoulder straps and a waist strap that will fit a VERY large guy.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

SwissGear makes a decent backpack for a 17" laptop, and still has plenty of room for books. At or around the $50 range.
 
I have a Sandpiper GTH3 and it fits my 17" laptop without a problem. It also runs around $55. Not a bad price for everything you get.
 
Check out SpecOps Brand. They make very strong basic packs, and they are US made.
