Hi Everyone! I am looking to get some scales made up for my BK14 and wondering if anyone out here can point me in the direction of where I may be able to accomplish that. Not 100% sure what I want yet in terms of style, but figured I could get the ball rolling out here. Any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Osage is nice.

Wow! Thanks for the replys guys! This is my first time posting as out here and I had no idea anyone responded! Great community and I am glad to be a small part!

With that said, sorry for not providing more detail. The woods ones look really sweet (Great work Tommythewho...very tempting...), but ultimately I think I want something in Micarta or G10 (I would possibly be interested in something a little different like aluminum if out there). I would prefer something with chicago style screws or similar so you get that smooth hardware transition on each side as opposed to a whole with a stem and a nut on one side. I want full handle scales. I tried the KaBar zytel ones and did not like them at all, although shape and size is good. I am actually looking for two pairs to be made, color kind of depends on the material, but would like something in green or orange and the 2nd pair to be something more standard, depending on the material-brown, black, tan, etc.

Those look great!

They are! And if they are exposed to direct sunlight or a bright light source (like close to a lightbulb or if you shine and led flashlight on them) they are so bright I have used them to find my way in the dark---I know that doesnt make sense in an outdoors situation because if there was sunlight you wouldnt need the glow or if you had a flashlight to shine on them, you would just use that to see----I agree, but in an indoor situation like if you were done brushing your teeth in the bright bathroom and were ready to head to the other side of the house to go to bed.You dont want to stumble through the house after being in the bright light and you dont want to wake anyone up by turning on lights as you go---(and I never carry a flashlight on me when I am home)---So I grabbed the 14 which is always on me and held it up to the light for a minute, then used it to find my way to bed:D

Wow, a dude who carrys his knife with him when he brushes his teeth...I would not want to bump into you in a dark hallway in the middle of the night. Be careful you aren't too sleepy and accidentally confuse your hands...I'm pretty sure the KaBar would get rid of any plaque but it will be a killer on the gums.
