As a co-dependent piggie, I am looking for your advice why I SHOULD or SHOULD NOT buy the new BOSS Street on the Busse Combat site. Factors include:
(1) I already have a .220 4 7/8-inch SAR-4 LE.
(2) I also have a .20 3 1/2-inch coated AD as well as a satin BAD
(3) I have a 3 1/2 inch Culti, satin and tigerhide, and a half dozen GWs of varying thicknesses and finishes.
(4) I have a 4+ inch Koster bushcraft for bushcrafty stuff.
(5) No longer on military active duty, just day and weekend hikes, gardening, and woodcraft stuff. Some carving/sculpting. Urban office work most days.
and (6) I usually don't care for coated blades, especially black - too tactical.

In spite of all the above, I find myself wanting the new BOSS Street; however, WANTING is not NEEDING. Any suggestions? Your advice, please.
Thanks for reading - Happy Holidays to One and All!

With so many of them around they need to have a BOSS to report to :D

Given what you wrote in terms of what you have that is comparable to the BOSS Street, it is clearly a matter of want, not need. But, that has never prevented me from acquiring something that looks promising.

Honestly, I say go for it - if it doesn't fit your needs or overlaps with some other knives you have, you can always sell it.

I bought the BOSS Street proto sight unseen, through a proxy, and don't regret buying it, even though I'm not sure I will keep it.

THe Boss st to me is "basically" what I always wanted in a smaller SHBA with exception of the choil.

The handle maybe one of the most comfortable from Busse Ever. Even though its similar in size to many you listed its not. Its much more substantial in size and feel compared to your list with exception of sar 4 which is not to my liking.

2 of my favorite Busse kin knives of all time are the RMD and HRLM, that said I have always longed for an INFI version and this basically fits the bill. At the prices these are offered if you don't like it you surely will be able to sell it. I have several knives in this size range so for me it is clearly want not need but so was the Bushwacker, I have a bunch of choppers but felt I really wanted that one.... it is an addiction, make sure you post pics "WHEN" you get yours ;):D

It is definitely a different knife than the 3 Busse's you listed. The SAR4 is a lot heavier/bulkier. The AD is shorter, and the culti is a lot thinner. Of these 4, I like the BOSS Street the most.

I got it because I passed on the SAR4. Get it because you need it, not because you have to have it. It may be a flipper's dream. Guys get busy with the holidays, miss it and then they'll need to snag one in the after market.

It seems you list is a whole lot of reasons you do not need one. For me, I decided when I first saw the original mean streets that it looked like an incredible knife. It is one I have wanted since that time but few come up for sale (until more recently) and the price for the originals is quite a bit higher.

Life is too short - if you can afford it and want it - get it!

As far as needs go - I dont think too many people need anything more than a mora, SAK, hatchet and folding saw... :D

Consider:

First, assume you have no regrets.

Second, consider the floor cost versus the cost and availability if, in a year or five, you decide you'd like to find one.

Third, consider what you'd do with it.

If the floor cost plus no regrets is greater than your current perceived need for it, then get it. In fact, get three.

And if you change your mind later and you DO have regrets, recouping the floor cost investment will be quick and easy.

You say you have a bunch of game wardens, just sell one of those and get this guy if you like it

Thanks - lots of good advice here. Because it's a Busse, because the price is quite reasonable, because I've never had a Busse that I couldn't sell later for the price I paid or more, and MOST OF ALL because it IS a damn fine looking classic old-school knife, I've decided...

GET IT!... and NO REGRETS!
