Need clear/colored grommet for Sage 3

I purchased a Spyderco Sage 3 with blue g10 handles as a more sheeple friendly shop/office EDC and was I right. This thing is so cute I could leave it out on a table and never draw attention. It says fun, purpose built tool, not weapon at all. It's a great knife in every way except the spydie hole is sharp as hell and I don't yet want to sand on this virgin knife or pop in a "tactical" rubber grommet. So, what if I could sheeplize it even more with a happy colored, bright, glow in the dark, rubber grommet? Where would I find one? Any other sheeplizing accesory ideas are welcome.

The reason that there is such a pronounced edge on the Spyderhole is to allow your finger to catch and allow you to open it. If you sand it down, you will basically remove this feature (it's there for a reason). My recommendations are to work up a callus and call it a day. Don't worry about what people say, so long as you use your knife in an appropriate & non threatening manner it should be just fine.

RevDevil - Usually I just use the knife until any factory sharp edges are worn down over time. Mostly just looking for any even more sheeple friendly look.

What do you do when the edge dulls? The most friendly knife I've known to use in an environment were they are looked at questionably is a Victorinox/Wenger, or a traditional slipjoint. Other cutting tools people like to use are retractable blade box cutters. When the blade get's dull, disassemble and replace with a fresh blade.

I was referring to any of the edges that would be sanded for comfort, not the cutting egde. At my job, most people carry break-a-way blade, exacto type, art knives. They are perfect for what they are used for but I occasionally need a strong, locking folder.

Mind posting a pic of the knife?

I had no idea the Sage 3 was out!

I've had mine a while, but they are at dealers now.

I was just checking out some of my older Spydercos yesterday. On both my Gen. 1 Delica and my Gen. 1 Police model the hole is chamfered. Both of these knives open up perfectly fine and the "softer" feel of the chamfered hole feels way better than the "hard" edge of the non-chamfered hole.

If you don't like the edge on the hole, take a ceramic rod, or similarly fine abrasive and lightly go over it.

It'll take all of a minute or so and won't be visually noticeable.

I would be real careful about dulling it too much. I did that to a Native and ended up expanding the hole to sharpen the edges up a bit. I couldn't open the knife one handed. :o

its a nice looking knife, i wouldnt worry about the hole in the blade scaring sheeple, i think there more worried about the razor sharp edge than the hole in it.
