Ive been looking through the forums and have only seen one or two good reviews of the spike hawk. Got some great ideas from the "modding trail hawk" thread, but i like the looks of the spike hawk better. So anything i should know?

I plan to use this hawk for survival/B.O.B./zombies. it will be a weapon as well as a tool, and lets face it, it looks totally bad-a$$.

Also, where are you guys getting yours? who has the best prices? so far ive only seen them on ebay for about $36. I need some place that takes paypal as that is my source of knife spending money.

thanks for any info, and pictures are always welcome!

I like the spikehawk very much, fun to throw both blade forward or spike forward.

Have you looked at the SOG fusion line? I have the SOG Fusion Tactical Tomahawk and it seems to be a bit more 'robust' then the CS for real outdoor use. Especially if you want to use it for breaching ops or self-defense. Its only about $38-45 online. Knifecenter and Knifeworks both have great deals and are currently in stock.

I have, and i was originally going o buy one of those, but after seeing some of the amazing things people have done with the cold steel hawks, i looked more into the spike.

I still may go with one of the sog line, as i do like the plastic handle since it is less prone to breaking. Im sure i will buy both eventually

The only thing you really need to know about Cold Steel hawks is to lose the set screw as soon as you get it.
