I was fortunate enough to pick up this .280 fat swedged Lep game warden last year (NO, it's not available, and NO, I'm not looking for offers). The only photo I have is one borrowed with gratitude from a previous owner.

But I've been wondering if anyone knows how many of these were made, as well as if any of you know the background details, stories, or even rumors concerning these little beasts. Thanks for your replies and best wishes to all.
Cheers!

They were a limited run offered at the last BLADE West show. 2008, IIRC. There were 2 variations, the combo you have and I believe a black/black canvas micarta version, same grind. There were the only 2 offered this thick and coated and were fairly limited. They were not offered through the BCS as a run, but I do think the Skunk had one or two of each left over that he did list there after returning from the Show, kinda like the grab bag offering that he used to do on New Year's eve once or twice. Because they were a Show offering, they don't really count as part of the official BCS GW series, but they're still pretty darn cool.

Nice score! They are the only ones I don't have but wouldn't mind owning...at least the leppy one. :)

ETA: Wait... the other is the same type. Was the other combo black/B&B G-10??:)

Did you ask the original owner ......what's up with dingy Sock? I think that's the first time I seen a Busse....or any other knife pose with a sock........

Thanks! - I think the sock was merely an impromptu on-site photo backdrop in order to improve the contrast between the green and black coated blades/knives and the dark green grass.
