Good morning ladies & gents. I'm looking for a durable EDC folder made in the USA. I've narrowed it down to a ZT 0566 or a Spyderco Native 5. Can anyone comment on the potential longevity of both folders under normal use? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I use the spyderco ukpk.
Closest modern folder i could find to a traitional.
Warehouse floor is concrete at work.
I can open knife one handed, with or without gloves.
Very light, rides great on back pocket.
It is a slipjoint, mine is the plain edge.
With frn handles, you can't tell that it has been dropped
more times than I can remember.
I also cut a live wire with it (never trust anyone else when working with electrical,
including your wife) and it survived. I did send it back to spyderco
for their resharpening, I did not feel like doing that by hand as it
did melt a small chunk in cutting edge.
I also don't mind loaning it to others to use when they ask
for a knife. Won't be handing over my gec, custom wharncliffe, etc.

Both are nice knives and should last a a lifetime under normal use. They are pretty different knives though. What characteristics or use cases are you looking for in the knife?

Here's a side-by-side with a 0566 and Native5. I find myself using the 0566 more.
