Can anyone please advise whose hallmark a single, looks like a bear paw, might belong too. I recently purchase two knives at a gun show. One of the knives just has, again, what looks like a bear paw. The second knife, again, has what appears to be a bear paw with the number 638 in the paws center. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dan.

Just as was pointed out to you in an earlier, similar thread you posted - we need pictures.

knifeman, i need a picture of the entire knife, as well as closeups of the marks please.

There are many knives out there that put animal prints on knives as decorations, and even some private makers that use various animal prints as their logos.
To make a correct match, i need pics sir.

Thanks.

It could be one of my earlier pieces since when I began I used a single paw etch. Post a photo and I can tell at a glance if it's mine.

There is a knife maker in Washington State, who displays at the Washington Arms Collectors show, who uses a Bear Paw. I cannot think of his name right now, but believe he is originally from Russia. John
