Need feedback on bandsaw

Darren, I've never heard of this saw, I guess no one else either, looks good though. I do have a big Grizzly that cost around $700, have used it hard for six years with no problems.

Darren,

I have used the Ellis saws before, and their quality is top-notch. One thing however, is that they are primarily targeted to fabricators, and do not offer coolant systems. This will really get you into trouble if you cut anything besides tubing with it. I dont have to preach to you about what aluminum will do to a saw blade if it runs hot.

My advice is to go with the small Wellsaw 613 if you can afford it. Its the best saw I have ever used bar none.

I've had a Delta/Rockwell 14" that I've used for over 18 years now and its handled everything I've ever thrown at it. Its one of my most used tools in the shop.

Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback! :) I've done some other poking around too and as Jeff mentioned, the Ellis saw seems to be a quality tool, so looks like I'll be pulling the trigger on one next week.

Jeff, I'd love to have a Wellsaw, but unfortunately, the 613 won't handle the size rounds I need and the size saw by them that would work is out of my current price range.

One of the things that's been the biggest holdup with being able to consistently offer forges for sale is the fact that I've had to rely on outsourcing the cutting work to local fab shops...and it seems that all of the ones around here are run by flaky people! So, I've decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and put a real saw in the shop so I can do all of the cut work here. Hopefully, in a month or so after the saw gets here (which will take three weeks), we'll start to have forges in stock on the site and I can start to offer those again! :) Now I just have to find a spot to squeeze that thing in out in the already overcrowded shop!
