Hey guys, I live up in Montana and spend most of the Spring, Summer and Fall living out of a raft. I have been getting into more and more bushcraft. Looking for a bushcraft knife, bushfinger, bushcrafter, sneaky Pete, or other recommendations or actual knives for sale appreciated. Never am available for the Fiddleback Fridays however so would love to buy one from someone. Secondary to my wet environment need synthetic handle and stainless steel blade. If have a knife fitting these wants please pm me. Or please make recommendations on which style would be great!

Thanks Guys
Dan

For what your describing I'd get on of the new production Bushfingers. There are several reviews up on this right now...

There is a CPM-154 Stainless Steel Sneaky Pete being offered on the Flea Market thread right now at a reduced price.......go snag it !

Definitely sounds like a production Bushfinger would do the trick!

Check the forum marketplace regularly and the dealers which are all linked to on http://www.fiddlebackforge.com/index.cfm/purchasing/ Some new knives just showed up at a couple dealers and one of them may fit the bill. On the other hand the production bushfinger is SS and synthetic handles. That would fit your needs nicely while you look for your first custom model.

If it helps the Sneaky Pete is my second favorite Fiddleback right behind the Bushcrafter. Those stainless customs don't come up too often, I'd jump on that one buddy.

Dan, welcome to the forum. I will echo what the guys are already saying- that Sneaky is a great deal. I'd snatch it up.

BTW, love the avatar. Good choice sir:thumbup:

Not to be a broken record, but that Sneaky is a great knife. I have one myself in CPM154... I dont have as many knives as some of the guys here, but it is one of my favs! That production bushfinger suggestion is a good thought too, but the chance to snag a stainless Sneaky is one you should not pass up.

Dan:

Sweet move on taking that Burlap CPM-154 Sneaky. You'll like dealing with The Baron, he's a class guy.

Peter

2 different guys have the knife listed the baron pg 319 and rcartmell3 pg 318? pm'd both just waiting for a response.

Someone answered this question in the market thread. Send The Baron a PM (private message) by clicking on his name and selecting the send private message option.

Dan:

I just sent The Baron ( Jon) a PM alerting him to your interest in the Sneaky Pete. Hang tight, he'll get back to you when he's back on the Forum.

thanks so much guys, you are awesome, I, other the hand am an idiot!

We were all new here at one time. Glad we can unite you with a sweet blade. Now you need a sheath for it. Kydex sounds like what you need. I know a guy who does great work and is very fast too.

sounds great, how do i get a hold of him?

Have to go put my children to bed, will be right back!

Wow guys. What a great experience tonight. Thanks for the help. Knife is paid for, and is being shipped out tomorrow! Thanks for letting me a part of this family!

We can shut this thread DOWN!

I'm strangely excited for you. This whole scenario is what makes the Fiddleback forum such a great place to hang around!
