I've decided on getting a new bag for carrying my work stuff(clipboards, notebook, etc.) along with other gadgets and gear. I don't have any idea on where to start though.

I'd prefer one about the size of the average briefcase, waterproof(if possible), with plenty of pockets for pens, markers, and other stuff.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe something from BlackHawk?

I use a Burton snowboarding bag. Very non-obtrusive, waterproof, with lots of places to hold stuff. Including large items, (where you would normally hold a snowboard). Not too bad on the wallet either.

Thanks for the info, you guys. That Maxpedition MPB looks pretty cool....I think that it may be just what I'm looking for. :D

That ArcTeryx Blade looks very cool. Can the should straps be tucked into a pocket to keep them hidden?

I agree about Arc'Teryx design and quality. The Arc'Teryx Volt is the most nearly-perfectly designed and built EDC backpack I've ever seen. The only improvement I can think of is changing the top-strap carry handle from 3/4" webbing to something re-inforced and padded (ala Maxpedition) so more comfortable carry using top strap.

Kifaru makes some Duffel bags - the smallest is 3300 cubic inches...

Not really briefcase like - but another option to consider.

Check www.reioutlet.com and www.campmor.com for different bags also.

Have fun!
