need good fixed blade

the requerments are that it has to have a blade aroun 7 inches and cannot bee more than $160.00 if you know somthing not much more please mention it.
 
It would be useful if you would give some information on what tasks you hope to accomplish with this knife.
 
The Becker BK7 runs about $50 and the Swamp Rat Camp Tramp is about $130. Those are 2 good suggestions I can give you from the 7 inch blade and $160 limits. I'm sure more info for its intended use will get you better responses.
 
I have the Swamp Rat Camp Tramp and it would be tough to beat...in fact, IMHO only a Strider, Busse or other high dollar custom would be up to the challenge. It is durable as hell, sharp as hell, comfortable as hell, and the only time I could ever see myself breaking it is when hell itself freezes over!
 
At $160 +/- $10, 7 inch combat style,
you're gonna get more suggestions than you're gonna know what to do with. Add the used knife market (usually new or near new knives) and you can get almost any knife you want.
here are makers you can look into, in no specific order...
Kabar, Ontario, Becker, Cold Steel, Busse, Swamp Rat, Entrek, Tops, Buck, Camillus... I'm sure I'm missing a lot of makers...

Ditto that! Check out the site, or better yet visit the Swamp Rat forum here on BF and ask some questions. Rat Chat over at the swamp is also a wealth of info. Nice folks too, both places.

Look at the Ontario "Rat 7", at 888knivesrus.com This particular knife is used and endorsed by Randall Adventure and Training. Price is around $90.00
