Need Hawk help

Couldn"t pass this one up at the flea market. Appreciate any help identifying it. It weighs 1lb 13 oz and the only marking I can see on it is the crude "2" on the bottom. Pictures show the measurements.

I think it's actually just a slip fit hatchet, probably from south America.

Like #230 in this old catalog picture.

Not particularly old I don't think, 2 should be the weight
It is only 2oz shy of the mark after all.
