I need to sind someone that can heat treat a LONG peice of ground 5160.

I am in the mood to do some longer blades and just cant quite keep my imagination under 20 inches..

I am thinking a tactical wakasahi idea plus a traditional fixtured broadsword, the blades are already cut I just need to find a heat treater that can do 36 inch bars...

Howard F. Clark can heattreat your stuff. He is well know so I think he will do a good job. Everything I have heard of him is good.
He can do lenghts up to 44" his web site is

Try Tom Clarke at Franklin Steel Treating in Columbus, Ohio. The number is 614-488-2556. He is a brilliant metallurgist, and has done a great job for me on some long, thin 1095 blades.
