need help carrying a leatherman

Hey all,
I am having a problem finding an old post I saw long ago. It described how you can carry a folder or multi-tool in your pocket with a length of paracord attached to the lanyard hole. The paracord is then attached to the your belt with a slip knot. That way the knife/tool wouldnt accidentally fall out of your pocket, but it could still be released easily. I have been experimenting with knots trying to figure it out...but having problems to say the least. Any help, advice, links, etc. would be greatly appreicated.

I think I would just tie a loop big enough to put the knife/Multi-tool
through.

So you would put the loop through your belt
(I.E. under your belt, Probably from the top down)
then put the Tool through the loop, and drop it in my pocket.

If you made the loop big enough you could reach through it
grab the tool and pull.

That make since?
