I'm torn between 2 hawks voyager, fort turner polled iraquios, and h&bs large polled french.

I can't find any reviews on these models and want to know how they are. Any opinions or better options?

This will be used as a camp/hiking tool primarily, but also for throwing (cause it's fun :) ) as well as bushcraft. I like the longer edge and something with a poll.

Thanks in advance.

I was in your shoes approx. 4 mos ago ...I went with James helm (stormcrow) here on BF. I am very pleased. Good luck

Don't order from Ft. Turner unless your willing to wait at least a year.If you want a great hawk for a reasonable price H & B is the place to go there is all kinds of pics and reviews right here if you look.

Yeah, I just haven't seen any for the french hawk I was looking at. Might have over looked it. I'll search again.

Yeah stay away from Ft Turner. His website says 8 weeks but your real wait will be... indefinite. Been over a year for me.

H&B is the way to go.

I just got an H&B three weeks from payment to hawk in hand. Plus I was sent emails letting me know the progress of my order and tracking #s. They are a top notch shop.

I like the looks of 2Hawks their blades are finished beautifully but they are 2.5x the price. H&B is tough to beat with their low price point.

Was looking at the large polled french hawk. But all in all it seems that h&b are the way to go.

H&B Forge is a great way to go. I ordered a mammen from them and it is great. There customer service is top notch too. You will enjoy doing business with them as much as the product itself.

I dearly love the mammen Viking axe they made for me.

I highly recommend HB. I've had their large French, large camp poll, and med camp poll. The med camp is my favorite. It has a great balance to it and I find it to chop as well as it throws. IMHO the french is a bit too top heavy and not a great thrower.

I just got a Two Hawks Competition model and love it! Trying to learn how to throw and its perfect! Got a good deal with the leather sheath

Do not order from Fort Turner as it has been over a year on my order. I filed a BBB Complaint and he has no responded to it or other complaints recently.
