Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and could do with some advice :D. I currently edc a leatherman freestyle (Modified the lock to remove it) or juice XE6 along with a spyderco Kiwi. Being in the UK we can't EDC lock knives which sucks so don't have any fixed blades or dedicated locking folders. I now need something much more substantial for Hiking and camping as the knives I have just don't quite "cut it" (sorry couldn't help myself :p). Planning on doing gutting, battoning and some other heavier duty cutting tasks. Basically I just need a knife that can take a bit of a beating that isn't going to let me down. My budget is £100 max including a sheath, unless its a folder.

Spent the past couple of days going through (( not a paid BF Dealer )) website and these are the ones I have found. What are your thoughts guys, which is likely to be the best suited or does anyone else have any other recommendations? Thanks :D

Welcome aboard - you specified your needs - almost. I´d tend to a fixed blade for you.

If I were you, I´d take a smaller fixed blade with me. The BeckerNecker made by KaBar or the ESEE Izula comes in mind....

You can google and see if this is what you are searching for.
