So I narrowed it down to a Apex Edge Pro. I need help choosing which stones and any other accessories to help me get razor edge results.

All feedback is greatly appreciated!

Edit: I will be sharpening mostly pocket knives - 154CM, D2, S30V, S35V and the slew of chinese steels on spydercos and kershaws

I have the Apex 4 kit and have no problems getting great, consistent results provided I take my time and work slowly while sharpening.

Here's what stones and polish tapes are in the kit for reference:
120 Grit coarse water stone

*220 Grit Medium Fine water stone

*400 Grit Fine water stone

*600 Grit Extra Fine water stone

*1000 Grit Ultra Fine Water stone

*1 pack of 2000 grit polish tapes (15 per pack)

*1 pack of 3000 Grit Polish tapes (15 per pack)

*2- Polish tape mounting blanks

*8" 1200 Grit Ceramic Hone

*Micro-fiber Towel

*Water Bottle

Results:

The best one, oddly enough, the first knife I did on the EP system:

Rushed this one a bit so it's not as consistent:

Same here. :foot: Still an even bevel, but I should've cleaned up some of the scratches before polishing the edge.

If you're patient the EP can yield fantastic results. I'm working on a full reprofile of a Strider SNG in S30V and it's taking a LONG time. I started with the 320 grit and am going really slowly to ensure I get great results and a really consistent edge profile. So far it is going really well and the edge looks :thumbup::thumbup::D

IT's amazing how even it makes the bevel... I find that it starts shaving once your done with the 220 stone, 400 stone for a good slicing edge and 600 just to smooth it out, these 3 stones make the biggest difference. If I could do it again I would have got the 1 kit and 3 after-market stones 1 rougher stone, and 2 finer.. I just got the apex 4 kit, here are the first 2 I got done with 120-6000.

I also really like the neodymium magnet I ordered that goes under the blade table.
