After making a few knives with tight inside radius on the handles ive started to straighten them out. I have 1x30 and 2x42 belt grinders. im thinking of a carbide die grinder cutter on my air tool? but would be better to something fixed with a small radius? I just need some ideas. I did make something with a 1/4 drill bit wrapped with a piece of 2in 60grit belt. it worked.
thanks, doc

For sanding inner radius I made a sanding drum out of a 1/4" bolt, nut, and aluminum spacer (1/4" inner diameter, 1/2" outer diameter). You can buy sanding drums in a variety of sizes, from as small as 1/4" (up to 1" long), and up. You can also buy aluminum spacers in a variety of sizes.

The inner diameter of the sanding drums were just a fraction larger than the spacer, so I wrapped the spacer with one layer of masking tape to produce a tight fit, and provide a grippier surface. It works great.

You just gotta get crafty ;).

I could have just used a dremel spindle attachment for the sanding drum, but those are rubber, and I wanted the core of the spindle to be solid and maintain a uniform shape.
