Hello everyone, this is my first post to this website. I am a police officer in a large metro area. I have decided to carry a fixed blade knife as a back up weapon. I bought a MOD razorback. I would like to carry it on my ankle. Does anybody know where I can get a nice velcro ankle sheath for this knife or does somebody know who can make one. Any suggestions will help.

Thank You

Go to the Firestation, get some STRONG velcro and zip-tie the sheath to a piece and velcro it around ankle/ or do what myself and brother did(he used a Stiff Kiss from CRKT though) and zip tie it to your duty belt. We did it behind the mag pouch so it is barely visible, and if someone goes for our primary, we pull knife with support hand while protecting gun with firing hand. Then would stab/slash.

I've tried to strap a Muela Paramilitary II (which has a leather sheath that was meant to be worn on my belt) with some 1-inch wide nylon straps with backpack clips. I found that just treating the strap like a belt, it wouldn't work well, so I'd wrap the nylon strap around the sheath once on the belt loop and take another strap and wrap the sheath around once, but on a different direction to counter the twist made by the strap. It works pretty well and drawing or putting the knife back into the sheath pretty easily.
The Muela is way too big to wear around the ankle, so I only tried to wear it around in my house. If i didn't get the wrong knife from you, it seems that the Ayoob designed knife is much smaller, and that nylon strap could work.
If you know anyone who sew pretty well, just buy some nylon strap, sew on some velcro, and you got some homemade straps.
Good luck experimenting!
BTW the Razorback look real sweet... too bad it's out of my price reach (actually I'm a university student who's basically out of money.... this sucks :( )
