I have a foster bros knive with a curved blade, the total length is 15.5 inches long, blade is 10 inches and the handle is 5 inches with a 1/2 inch space between the finger guard and handle, the handle has round rivets not stars. foster bros is stamped on the blade and it looks like there may have been another mark on the blade like the shape of a tappered postage stamp. I cannot find any photos of this knife on fosters site. can someone help with more info Thank You

I have a dog he's got 4 legs a tail and 2 ears he's about 27 inches tall dark brown with a black splotch on his side can you tell me what breed he is? Can you see where pictures could really help? How is anyone to know what knife you are talking about with that limited disscription? Also as stated above we have rules that you agreed to when you made your account and you can't ask the value at your level of membership.

Can't help you with the value, but maybe we can give you some pointers on your dating game.

Welcome! If you can post a picture of the knife that would help immensely. Here is a great (albeit technologically out of date) thread on how to photograph the knife you would like to identify:

Also note that the subforum where that thread was taken from is where the Knife Identification really goes on here.

My advice would be to bring uncut flowers, be very courteous, and ask questions and listen. That should help make your knife feel valuable on your date. Knife may be from 1940's or 1950's so it'll appreciate the old-fashioned touch. ;)

Uncut flowers?

So you want to hand some chic that you want to take out a bundle of flowers with piles of dirt hanging off of the bottom?
:confused::rolleyes:;)

Since no one has said it yet, I want to really emphasize confidence. Even if your wrong your knife will fee like you have self control and respect you more. No knife wants a weak partner.

As you can see above, correct spelling helps too

Uncut doesn't mean pulled from the ground by the roots. The idea was to give the knife something to do during the date so it doesn't get edgy. :P

Did someone forget a decimal point somewhere? Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen a beagle that was 27" tall. As per the pic, usually no more than about 2.7 inches, max., WITH the cream cheese...

Edgy knives can be good.

That there is one of them giant Tennessee beagles. If you've never seen one you really need to take the trip. You know what they say; "Tennesseen is Tennessbelieven".

Great first post!
A very challenging question.
Kitchen knives are not my thing.
But there's this from fosters...

Good luck with the search.
And believe it or not, you're actually being warmly welcomed
In the best traditional for newbies.

J Jamie T , they really do wanna help, there's been some good advice given and some funnin' bein' had but if you give 'em a little more to go by they'll help you out. That or at least point you in the right direction.

It looks like I am going to spend the rest of the evening writing trolling infractions with points for the posts in this thread. This thread is not in Whine and Cheese.

If you're having trouble posting pictures ( something you'll need to do to get info )
What I suggest is to use postimage which is extremely simple to use and you don't even need to sign up or anything.
Just upload the picture, click or tap the hotlink for forums to copy it then paste it here, that's all there is to it.
If you can do this then you'll have a good chance of getting the info you seek.
