Ok so I have a pretty stable job right and have money saved up for an emerson. However there is one problem I like all too many of them, so what I need to know is what one is reccomended. I really like the cqc15, the cqc13 and the etak-A. Is the etak A, a limited time run or is it going to be around for a while? Please help me decide which one to get
P.s. this will be my first emerson...

ETAK A. I'm no great fan of Emerson knives, but some of the designs are just incredible. The ETAK is just dead sexy.

Yeah I really like the clip point etak plus the tan handles look nice, but I have also wanted the 15 for a while now but I could probably wait on that until I have a better way of sharpening recurves.

I went Bladehq to check out the Etak. It looks very nice, but it also looks like a boat anchor. No weight or price either.

I'm gonna say 15. Probably my favorite Emerson. The recurve isn't too extreme and is easy to sharpen on the Sharpmaker.

so st this point I have it narrowed down to either the etak A or the 15
so really its more the issue of which one first

I'd go 15 between what you have narrowed down. Beautiful beast of a folder. Wanna go classic go CQC 7. Alotta choices in the CQC 7 category though:)

I dunno man, that ETAK is sick!
Aside from either blade shape, the lanyard slot adds a nice touch.

One thing to note is that Emerson makes knives in batches. So if you see one in stock and it ends up selling out, you may not see it again for several months.

I just got this one & can't put it down, came direct from Emerson serial #5

Big Journeyman fan here, but lately my Roadhouse is hogging (jacket) pocket time - the left upper-front on my Carhart. So easy to rip it open from there.

Any word on how it rides in the pocket? Is it pocketable for normal pocket cary or is the clip too far down?

I have 12 emersons now and had others before the 12 i sold. I would get the inbetween best and that would be the 15.

Cqc-15
