I am going to ask for three knives for Christmas, I would like the total cost to be under $250 (spead between 3 knives) and I am interested in knives from Benchmade and Spyderco only, I will be asking for a few cheaper knives like Subcoms also, what would you choose if you were in my position? I like 530, 32, 42, 555, 710, 720, 940, and 942 from BM, and I like the Manix, Mini-Manix, Chinook, Caly 3, Military, Para-Military, ect. from Spyderco (I am not really sure which I like best from Spyderco). I am open to suggestions. I don't really like wild designs like the Poliwog or Scorpious, I prefer it to be very tough and less than 4" blade length with a no frills design. Knives can cost less than $100 each or more than that, but it has to cost less than $250 total, and less than $200 would be very nice. Sorry for the long post, but I just can't seem to make up my mind. Thanks for any suggestions I recieve (in advance).

seems you narrowed it down to the point their is no difference what you choose. all oranges.

Kershaw TiZDP189 Leek $120 plus or minus

Spyderco Calypso III $95 plus or minus

Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter $54 plus or minus.

All these are super knives.

I like the leeks, but I would like a much thicker blade, not neccessarily because I need it, I just want it, that is something I am nervous about with the 530 because the blade looks thin and weak.

Sometimes quantity isn't better than quality.
Therefore:

Spyderco CF BG42 Military - $156
BM Gravitator - $100

The blade seems plenty thick for the size of the knife to me. If you want a thick blade look at the Buck/Strider 880 or 881 and the Cold Steel Spectre.

The B/S knives are 4.5mm thick. The Spectre is an awesome 5mm thick.
