Need help deciding which new Fusion to get.

Well, I am going to need some help deciding which of the Fusions should I get.

I am trying to decide between the Steel Heart and the BM. First, I am on a peace officer's budget, therefore I will only be able to get one of them this year.

Second here is a list of my current collection.
Basic5, Basic9, Assault Shaker, Satin Jack 3/16, Paul's Hatchet, and an INFIcoot. All have been beaten very badly and therefore have poor sell value, except for the Inficoot.:D

I would really like to retire my Basic9, so I really need a chopper. Is it just me or does the SH appear to have a wider blade than the BM. If so, what is the advantage.
 
If you don't have even one SH, you need to get one. It is the cornerstone of the House Of Busse. It chops plenty well too!
 
After handling all of the new knives, if I was absolutely limited to only one to buy as a user I would buy the new 5" Badger.

That being said, the Steel Heart is fantastic. I intend to own one.

What did I really order? The new Natural Outlaw. I seem to be hung up on NO's lately.

And I don't remember anyone else mentioning it, but the new non-serrated Air Rescue is as nice a double duty utility/fighter as you will ever see.

Seriously, I think the SH Fusion is the best for all around use. Not to big, but definitely big enough. Actually, the SH Fusion reminds me of the old SH on Steroids and would probably scare the crap out of the old BMs (except for the straight handled ones!).
 
Interestingly, the Fusion Heart is significantly beefier than the original BB SH2, which is one of the beefiest ever! I had this decision to make and couldn't do it......so I ordered both. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much at all :D
 
My theory is to buy a bunch, figure out which ones I'll use, then sell the rest for what I paid for them. Mostly I either break even, or lose the cost of shipping. Losing $10 in the process of deciding which knife may realistically save my hide is worth every penny. Only problem is actually convincing myself that I don't need the rest...
 
The Satin Jack is my most favorite blade out of the new new lineup!
It absolutely freakin ROCKS!:eek::cool::eek:

In addition to the SJ, the Steel Heart is still my top pick along with the Battle Mistress.

Oh, and don't forget the new COATED Active Duty and the Tank Buster;)
 
:D I'm with Mike H. Get a Badger. For chopping get a Battle Rat. It's cheap enuff where you won't be afraid to use it. I just happen to love the Badger as the best 'carry' size blade. I also love my SH SH's and BM's, but just a bit large for EDC. My first fusion will be a Badger. After that a SH when I can afford it, but it will have to work to beat out my SH fatty SH.

Kev I had no idea!!! Me too!!! The SJT is SWEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how such a simple design can be so damn sexy, but it sure is!!! It and the Fusion Heart are my favs :cool:
