Need help finding a good "boot" knife.

Hello all,

A friend of mine is looking for a good knife that will cary well in combat boots. He wants it to be single edged and comfortable. The main quality of the knife has to be the sheath. What knives will carry well in a boot without having to make ANY modifications to the sheath? Another requirement is price. He wants to TRY to keep it under $50.00. It is only going to be used as an emergency back up blade and will probably not see much use. Any help would be appreciated, especially some feedback from people that actually utilize Boot carry. Thank you.

CRKT Stiff Kiss may fit the description. I wear it myself, clipped to my inside coat pocket, but the sheath allows for normal and inverted carry, in addition to neck carry.

Louis, I would expect you to answer a question like that instead of asking it!

The Stiff Kiss might not be a bad choice. Make sure he Tuf-Cloths it good, though, if he's not going to use it much, it can sit there corroding over a long period of time.
