Not sure if it exists, but looking for a traditional type English Lambsfoot folder, but with a lock?

Thanks for any help or advice!!!:)

I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist.

Best get in touch with a custom maker or re-assess your need for a lock.

While you're at it, take a look at the GEC #99 Wall Street. They made a few with a Wharncliffe blade.

If I understand correctly, lockback knives are illegal to carry in the UK. And I've only seen lambsfoot knives that were made in the UK. So I doubt it will be easy to find one... if they exist.

A lambsfoot is essentially a sheefoot with a slight taper. I don't know if there's a locking sheepfoot but you could easily modify one into a lambsfoot.

You will likely have better luck finding a lockback Wharncliffe as other have suggested. There seems to be a Wharncliffe craze. Manufacturers have been putting Wharncliffe blades in patterns even if it is not traditional for the pattern.

I can't seem to leave you a visitor message, so I can't tell you about a non-member seller that I believe has a locking lambsfoot.

This Kershaw Corral Creek probably just barely qualifies as traditional but it's a nice knife and doesn't cost much.

I don't think you'll find one.

Locking folders are not illegal in the UK.

Kershaw Coral Creek is a locking Sheepsfoot, nicely-made knife I think, for the price

Thanks, for all the help and replies ! Have all ready bought the Kershaw Corral Creek. That is what got me thinking, I would like a more traditional English type folder, but with a lock.

I'd forgotten they did a locking version of that one Scruff

Why don't you just try a standard Lambsfoot Force-recon, they generally come with a strong pull, which means they snap open very solidly?

Thank you for the correction. I had based my comment on statements like this one. But it may seem more strict to a foreigner. "Lock knives (knives with blades that can be locked when unfolded) are not folding knives, and are illegal to carry in public without good reason." https://www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives

Thanks, I have been looking at the English Lambsfoot online and just love look and will be ordering one this week. Just have never been a fan of slip joints. But will give a try. Thanks guys, for all the help and info!!!!!

That's not inaccurate Jake. Locking folders are legal to buy, sell, and own here, but if you have one in a public place, you need to be able to give a good reason for needing it, or why you have it with you, and the criteria is both limited and strict
