Well for a while now iv been carrying my kershaw blackout that i got recommended from here. I love it and all but it just leaves something to be desired. I also don't really like the assisted opening thing in it. Im looking to spend like 150 or less for a larger liner locking folder. Any suggestions?

You could always take out the part that makes it an assisted opening in kershaw/zero tolerance knives. Than you can use it as a regular folder.

As for larger folders that size, off hand most of the ones I like have a habit of being spring assisted kershaws/ZT knives. So I wont bother recommending them unless you want to deal with hassle in a new knife.

I also carried a Kershaw, the Boa for many years.
While not a liner lock I am loving my Benchmade Adamas. It is a large folder but I have no problem edc it. I have never owned a benchmade until now but I really like the Axis lock for it's ease of one hand opening and closing. It is not assisted opening but it opens darn near as quickly and easily as my old Boa.

You could also check out Zero Tolerance knives. The 200,550 and 350 series should be in your price range.

Alot of people like the axis lock. Im just not ready to try something different yet. When i can afford to start collecting and have a variety of things to use but as of right know i want to stay safe and just stick with what i know works well liner locks. The knife im going to use at work anyway.

When you say larger, do you mean all dimensions or just blade length? I like a longer blade myself but prefer the package it comes in be thin and light. Knifes I really like in this category are the BM 940/943, 710 and Spyderco Military, Endura, Pacific Salt, Boker Burnly Kwaiken (great knife but not as light weight).

More length then girth or width. I mostly use my knife at work for cutting shrink wrap off pallets, opening bags or mulch, cutting plastic ties. I work at a home improvement warehouse and i work outside lawn and garden so it gets kinda dirty sometimes. So easy cleaning is a plus, also easily disassembled and reassembled is good too. I got a torx driver set and have done it on my blackout a few times.

Another vote for the 0200...great knife, ergos are great, easy to sharpen, and get it from kershawguy:thumbup:

There are a couple of Emersons that would fit what you want, although they'll run $20 or so over your $150 limit. ZTs will certainly be capable knives and high quality, but they are tanks and they may be outside of your size requirements. The're also assisted openers, although I hear you can disable that feature if you want. Cold Steel has a couple of newer offerings in your size & $ range (Code 4, IIRC), but they're backlocks. Spyderco's Gayle Bradley would be hard to beat. It's a heavy duty liner lock, nearly a 3.5" blade, and very tough. If you can tolerate BMs AXIS lock, that opens up a whole new range of possibilities.

If I had to pick a large, unassisted, easy to clean liner lock I would go with the ZT0200. It is a fantastic flipper with an easy to work with steel in a 4" blade, open construction, and a lifetime warranty. Plus if you want to get it in serrated I personally prefer the way ZT does their serrations and you would still have plenty of plain edge to work with.

if i were you i would really consider an Enlan El-01.
unbelievable quality for the money!
15$!!!

The Benchmade 551 has an axis lock, not a liner lock, but is a great knife. It retails on Benchmade.com for around $125, but you could find one for less.

How big is "larger"?

Just about any Cold Steel with the triad lock is always on my recommend list.
