Well I got a promotion at work which is going to mean a lot more traveling for me. So I am going to be in the market for a new edc pack. My requirements aren't to hateful at least imo.

NO MOLEE
Black in color
Durable
I want this bag to look professional not look like I am going to the range or hiking when I get off work
Hold a 15 inch laptop
Admin pocket
Around 1800 CC
Close to $100

So far the closest I have found is the Tactical Tailor Urban Operator Pack. However I have read some reviews that said it might be uncomfortable for people without broad shoulders. Another pack I like is the Kelty Map 3500 but given the size of this pack I feel I would end up with a lot of wasted space.

This pack will carry my laptop, edc items, and needed files.

So lets have it guys give me some packs to check out!!!

Not really a backpack, but I just picked up a 5.11 Side Trip briefcase and it's awesome. I carry my laptop, a water bottle, my CCW, knife, flashlight, other gear, a padfolio, and anything else I may need. If you aren't dead set on a backpack, check that one out.

If you need a backpack, the 5.11 Covrt looks pretty awesome too.

Jansport makes a decent backpack, but "professional" and backpack brings thoughts of military or LEO or SAR teams, maybe athletes. In business, stick to a soft sided messenger bag/briefcase style bag.

Not sure what the price is over there, might be over the $100 mark since it's mostly MSRP where I live, but the border series from Gregory fits the bill, has a designated laptop compartment, no molee, very durable, has a admin compartment. And yes it comes in black.

You're looking in the wrong market. Look at business laptop backpacks, Timbuk2, Wenger, Victorinox, Targus, Eagle Creek, Samsonite, etc. all make decent quality business oriented (office professional) laptop backpacks. Most of the backpacks in my office (rank and file engineers) are North Face Recon packs. I've been looking at the smaller Targus Legend IQ for it's organizational features to replace my wearing out briefcase.

I have to agree with RD, in a strict business sense professional and backpack don't really go well. In any event, the Goruck packs are as close to professional looking as I can think of, but unfortunately are way out of your budget. And they have just a little molle.
